From a non-technical perspective, you should have strong project management skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and a knack for solving complex problems.

The applications you should be experienced in are various workflow management tools such as IBM Business Process Manager, Oracle BPM Suite, Bonita BPM, or Camunda BPM. Furthermore, you should be proficient in using enterprise software platforms like SAP and Salesforce, depending on the company's infrastructure. Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration systems like Kubernetes, as well as experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), will also be highly beneficial.

You should know all different types of strategies associated with the role such as Lean Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement and Agile or Scrum methodologies for project management. You should be adept at designing and implementing both sequential and parallel workflows and know how to create effective fallback and error handling mechanisms. Furthermore, you should understand the importance of designing workflows with scalability, reliability, and security in mind.
Lastly, you should also be well-versed in crisis management, with a clear understanding of how to troubleshoot and resolve workflow failures, mitigate the impacts of any such failures, and ensure continuity of operations.
